The first edition of ArtGora was organised in the framework of Creative Industries for An Equal Baltic (CIEB), a regional collaboration between several partners from the Baltic Sea region BSR (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden and Germany) and Eastern Partnership countries (Georgia and Ukraine).
• Bringing stakeholders in the Baltic Sea Region & Eastern Partnership countries together to exchange experience and build regional collaboration to address common challenges through arts and culture.
• Raising awareness on role of culture in promoting gender equality and communicate the different best practices on addressing this challenge in the target regions.
• Generating innovative solutions and project ideas for future regional collaboration.
>>> organised a regional forum in Riga 10 - 12 April 2019 with arts and culture activists working on fighting against gender injustices and norms imposed by patriarchical ideologies.
>>> commissioned a regional report on good practices from the creative industries that promote gender equality and reduce gender gaps in the target countries.
