On 20 May 2021, Celebrating Our Diversity Festival and Världskulturmuseet presented one of Sweden's most famous Sami artists - Elin Teilus.
Elin took us on a powerful and heartfelt journey. Through yoik (jojk), she depicts narrative and magical improvisations, the living, the clear water of the cold spring, the reindeer herd and the whistling of the wind.
The music is both cinematically magnificent and simply close. It carries a message, sprung from the heartbeat of the earth, that is needed in our time. With a unique presence and magical voice, she awakens the dance of the northern lights and the primordial power of the earth.
